Felix Francis (Technical Director)

 

Felix is a control engineering specialist with 25 years experience in marine and diesel automotive industries. He was responsible for engineering the control system for Siemen's "Seagen" subsea tidal turbine, generating thousands of MWHrs of clean electricity. He has considerable practical marine experience, having developed a range of systems that operate in punishing marine environments. Felix trained as both a mechanical and control systems engineer and is the lead technical authority for the design of new products at Reygar.

Wight Shipyard Tracks Transit of Venus with BareFLEET....

Wight Shipyard, has installed BareFLEET on the newbuild Catamaran Venus Clipper - the latest fast ferry built for MBNA Thames Clippers. The system will monitor health and performance of newly-launched vessel during the initial warranty period, providing valuable design verification feedback to the shipyard. Unmanned survey vessel successful trials

Reygar has provided the control system for a new Unmanned Surface Vessel, used for inland waterway surveying. The vehicle has been successfully tested in inland waterway and estuary environments. The development of "mREAV" has been led by Safeguard Nautica, as a part of a project sponsored by UK Research & Innovation’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund for Robotics & Artificial Intelligence in Extreme & Challenging Environments.
